“Nostalgia is possibly the greatest of the lies that we all tell ourselves.”

“How many people long for that ‘past, simpler, and better world,’ I wonder;
without ever recognizing the truth that perhaps it was they who were
simpler and better, and not the wold about them?

Nostalgia is a powerful force.

We all look at the world around us and WANT to think things used to be better.

It’s always easier to say, “Things used to be better” than to think how we can make life better now and in the future.

One is merely dreaming.

The later requires work and determination.
