WordPress.com is free hosting for a WordPress website.

It’s limitations often have people choosing a self-hosted WordPress instance, but WordPress.com is still a great way to run a website. And with it’s premium options, you can grow as much as you need to.

The New, Darker, Dashboard

WordPress.com turned out the lights.

They have departed from the previously all gray design in favor of a much higher contrast design.

Instead of being completely flat, the design boa

st a few depth elements like drop shadows, but used sparingly.

Menu Flyouts

 No Responsive Dashboard Yet

Unfortunately, the WordPress Dashboard is not yet Responsive, so it does not work well on a mobile device.

You could always use the WordPress Mobile Application though.

Some rumors have shared a responsive dashboard could appear in a few months.

Until then, if you’re brave enough, you could check the box “Enable experimental responsive admin design (MP6)” under Personal Settings.
